Last month, contractor Verhelst, commissioned by De Goaverse Statie bvba, started the dismantling of the company site Voeders Leroy/Van Simaey along the Oudenaarde-Gent railway line in Asper (Gavere). The intention is to demolish all the outbuildings on the site so only the concrete silos from 1926 remain. From there, 20 almost zero-energy apartments will be furnished in the silos. On the ground floor, under the silo walls, a large space will be created for retail or office. The entire project is planned to be completed by 2020.
